ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಾತೀತವನು ಪಿಡಿಯಲಿಂದ್ರಿಯಕಳವೆ? । ಇಂದ್ರಧನು ಕೈದೋಟಿ ಕೊಂಕಿಗೆಟುಕುವುದೆ? ॥ ಸಂದೃಶ್ಯವಾತ್ಮಕೆ ಬೇರೆ ಕರಣದಿಂ । ತಂದ್ರಿ ಬಿಡೆ ದೊರೆವುದದು - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೬೯೩ ॥

ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಅತೀತವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರಿಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ? ಕಾಮನಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹೂವೋ ಹಣ್ಣೋ ಕೀಳಲುಪಯೋಗಿಸುವ ಕೈ ದೋಟಿಯಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ? ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪರತತ್ವದ ದರ್ಶನವಾಗಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇರೆಯೇ ಉಪಕರಣ ಬೇಕು. ನೋಡಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಆಲಸ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ .
