ಮನೆಯೊಳೋ ಮಠದೊಳೋ ಸಭೆಯೊಳೋ ಸಂತೆಯೊಳೊ । ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಕಾಡೊಳೊ ಮಸಾಣದೊಳೊ ಮತ್ತೆಲ್ಲೋ ॥ ಗಣನೆಗೇರಲಿಕೆಂದು ಜನ ತಪಿಸಿ ತೊಳಲುವುದು । ನೆನೆಯದಾತ್ಮದ ಸುಖವ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೬೫೩ ॥

ಮನೆ, ಮಠ, ಸಭೆ, ಸಂತೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲೇ, ಇದ್ದರೂ ‘ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಗುರುತಿಸಬೇಕು’ ಎನ್ನುವ ಹಂಬಲ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ಆಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಇರದ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಾಗಲೀ ಅಥವಾ ಸತ್ತು ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಸೇರಿದಮೇಲಾಗಲೀ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತನ್ನನ್ನು, ಗುರುತಿಸಬೇಕು, ಹೊಗಳಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಹಂಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬದುಕಿನ್ನುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಅಂತಹ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಬಾಯ್ಬಿಡುತ್ತಾ, ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಅನಂತವಾಗಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮದ ಸುಖ ಮತ್ತು ಉದ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರೂ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಆತ್ಮೋದ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರಕವಾದ ಮನ್ನಣೆಯ ಹಂಬಲದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು.
