ಅದು ಬೇಕು ಇದು ಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಬೇಕೆಂದು । ಬೆದಕುತಿರುವುದು ಲೋಕ ಸೊಗದಿರವನೆಳಸಿ ॥ ಹೃದಯಗುಹೆಯಾ ಸುಖಧ್ಯಾನದೂಟೆಯೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ । ಮುದಗಳಮಿತದ ನಿಧಿಗೆ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೨೨೪ ॥

ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಹೃದಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದಸುಖಗಳಆಸೆಯ ಒರತೆ ಅಥವಾ ಊಟೆ ಬತ್ತುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸದಾಕಾಲಮನಸ್ಸು “ಅದು ಬೇಕು ಇದು ಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಮತ್ತು ಅದು “ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹುಡುಕಾಡುತ್ತಲೇಇರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ.
