ಅನುಬಂಧ ಜೀವಜೀವಕೆ ಪುರಾಕೃತದಿಂದ । ಮನದ ರಾಗದ್ವೇಷವಾಸನೆಗಳದರಿಂ ॥ ತನುಕಾಂತಿ ಮೋಹ ವಿಕೃತಿಗಳುಮಾ ತೊಡಕಿನವು । ಕೊನೆಯಿರದ ಬಲೆಯೊ ಅದು - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೧೬೮ ॥
anubandha jIva jIvake purAkRutadinda । manada rAga dvESha vAsanegaLu adarim ॥ tanukAnti mOha vikRutigaLum toDakinavu । kone irada baleyo adu - Mankutimma ॥ 168 ॥
ಜೇವಿ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಇರುವ ಅನುಬಂಧವು ಪೂರ್ವಕರ್ಮದಿಂದಲೇ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಕೋಪ ದ್ವೇಷ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಸನೆಗಳೂ ಸಹ ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ. ದೇಹದ ಹೊಳಪು ಅದರ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ ಯಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ತೊಂದರೆ ತೊಡಕುಗಳು ಒಂದು ಅಂತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಬಲೆಯೆಂತೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
