ವನದಿ ನಿರ್ಜನದಿ ಮೌನದಿ ತಪವನೆಸಗುವನ । ನೆನಪಿನಲಿ ಪಿಂತಿನನುಭವವುಳಿಯದೇನು? ॥ ಇವಿನೋಟ ಸವಿಯೂಟ ಕಿನಿಸು ಕರುಬುಗಳಾಟ । ಕನಲುತಿಹುವಾಳದಲಿ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೩೭೨ ॥
vanadi nirjanadi maunadi tapavam esaguvana । nenapinali pintina anubhava uLiyadEnu? ॥ ivinOTa saviyUTa kinisu kurubagaLa ATa । kanalutihuvu ALadali - Mankutimma ॥ 372 ॥
ನಿರ್ಜನವಾದ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ತಪಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವನ ಜೀವನದ ಹಳೆಯ ನೆನಪುಗಳು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇನು? ಆ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ ಸುಖ, ಕೋಪ, ದ್ವೇಷ ನೋವು ಸಂಕಟಗಳ ಹಳೆಯ ಅನುಭವಗಳು ಮನಸಿನಂತರಾಳದಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ.
