ಅಮೃತಕಣವಂ ಮರ್ತ್ಯಮೃದ್ಘಟದಿ ಬಯ್ತಿರಿಸಿ । ವಿಮೃಶಬುದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಮೋಹದುಪನೇತ್ರವಿಡಿಸಿ ॥ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯಮಧ್ಯದಲಿ ದುರ್ಭಿಕ್ಷವಾಗಿಪುದು । ಕಮ್ರತೆಯೊ ನಮ್ರತೆಯೊ? - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೧೯೦ ॥

ನಾಶವಿಲ್ಲದ ಆತ್ಮ ಅಥವಾ ಚೇತನನನ್ನು, ನಾಶವಾಗುವಂಥಾ ಈ ದೇಹವೆಂಬ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಮಡಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟು, ವಿಮರ್ಶೆಮಾಡುವಂತಾ ಬುದ್ಧಿಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ವಿವೇಚನೆಯಿಂದಲೋ ಅಥವಾ ಮೋಹದಿಂದಲೋ ತನ್ನ ಬೇಕು ಬೇಡಗಳ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತಾ ಮನವನಿತ್ತು, ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಇರುವಾಗ ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ, ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗಿಸುವುದು, ಇದೇನು ವಿಧಾನವೋ ಅಥವಾ ಮಾನವರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಲೋಭನೆಯೋ ಎಂದು ವಿಚಾರಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ.
