ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೆಂದೆನಿಪುದಲ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲಿ ಬಹುಭಾಗ? । ಅರ್ಥವೇಂ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಕೀಟಕೋಟಿ ರಚನೆಯಲಿ? ॥ ಕರ್ತನಾಲೋಚಿಸದ ದುಂದಿನವನೆಂಬ ನುಡಿ । ಯರ್ಧದೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ವಿವರ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೬೬ ॥
vyarthavendu inipudala sRuShTiyali bahubhAga? । arthavEm krimi kITa kOTi rachaneyali? ॥ kartanu Alochisada dundina avanu emba nuDiyu । ardha dRuShTiya vivara - Mankutimma ॥ 66 ॥
“ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೆಂದೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲಿ ಬಹುಭಾಗ, ಈ ಕ್ರಿಮಿ ಕೀಟ ಕೋಟಿಗಳ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲಿ ಅರ್ಥವೇನು ? ಆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ದುಂದುಪಯೋಗ ಮಾಡಿರಬಹುದೆಂದು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದು ಅವರ ಅಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಜ್ಞಾನದ, ಯೋಚನಾ ದಾರಿದ್ರ್ಯದ ಸೂಚಕವೆಂದು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದ ಹೂರಣ.
Why does most things in this creation seem to be a waste? What is the meaning of crores of these minute creatures - worms and insects? If we say the creator a spend thrift who has did not plan this creation well - we would describing the half truth. [Translator's note: In this creator's universe all creatures are created equal.
