ಪ್ರಾಲೇಯಗಿರಿಗುಹೆಯ ಗಂಗೆ ವೇದ ಪುರಾಣ । ಕಾಳಿಂದಿ ಶೋಣೆ ಪೌರುಷ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಯುಕ್ತಿ ॥ ಮೂಲ ಸ್ವತಸ್ಸಿದ್ಧ ಸಂವಿದಾಪಗೆಗಿಂತು । ಕಾಲದುಪನದಿ ನೆರವು - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೫೧೯ ॥
prAlEyagiriguheya gange vEda purANa । kALindi shONe pauruSha buddhi yukti ॥ mUla svataH siddhi samvidApegege intu । kAlada upanadi - Mankutimma ॥ 519 ॥
ಹಿಮಾಲಯದ ಅಂತರಂಗದಿಂದ ಹರಿವ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂದೂ ಬತ್ತದ ಸಾರ್ವಕಾಲಿಕ ನದಿ ಗಂಗೆಯಂತೆ, ಸರ್ವಕಾಲಕ್ಕೂ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸುವ ನಮ್ಮ ವೇದ ಮತ್ತು ಪುರಾಣಗಳು. ಆ ಗಂಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಸೇರುವ ಯಮುನಾ ಶೋಣಾ ಮುಂತಾದ ನದಿಗಳಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಬುದ್ಧಿಶಕ್ತಿ, ಜಾಣ್ಮೆ,ಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಸತ್ಯದ ಮೂಲವಾದ ವೇದ ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತುಗಳ ಸತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅನುಸಂಧಾನಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಕಾಲವೆಂಬ ಉಪನದಿಯ ನೆರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು, ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಸುಭದ್ರ ತಳಹದಿಯಮೇಲೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾನದೀವಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಆಶಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ.
The Ganges has its birth in the caves of the mighty Himalayas. It is always flowing. The knowledge in the Vedas are also like that - ever green. The efforts of mankind, his intellect and wisdom are like tributaries that feed in little water to the mighty river.
