ಮನೆಯೆಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ? ಶ್ರುತಿ ತರ್ಕಮಾತ್ರದೊಳೆ? । ಅನುಭವಮುಮದರೊಂದು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗದಿಹುದೇಂ? ॥ ಮನುಜಹೃದಯಾಂಗಣದೊಳೆನಿತೆನಿತೊ ದನಿಯುದಿಸಿ । ಅಣಕಿಪುವು ತರ್ಕವನು - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೫೦ ॥

ಸತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆ? ಶೃತಿ ತರ್ಕ ಮತ್ತು ವಾದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರವೇನು? ಮನುಜರ ಅನುಭವವೂ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯಬಾರದೇನು? ಮನುಜರ ಹೃದಯದ ಆಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವಾರು ಸತ್ಯದ ಭಾವಗಳು ಉದಯಿಸಿ ಈ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ತರ್ಕ ಮತ್ತು ವಾದಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸುವ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಅಣಕಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಎನ್ನುತಾರೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ.
Where can I find the truth? Should I hope to see it through scriptures and logic? Should experience also not be a way to reach the truth? In the stage of the human heart many emotions (due to experiences) take shape and those voices taunt the inadequacy of logic in this matter (of finding the ultimate truth). - Mankutimma
