ತನಗಿಂತ ಹಿರಿದ, ಭುವನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹಿರಿದೊಂದ- । ನನುಭವದ ಹಿಂದೆ, ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ನೆರಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ॥ ಆನುಮಿತಿಸಿ ಮನುಜನಾ ಹಿರಿದನೆಳಸುವನೆಯ್ದೆ । ಮನುಜನೊಳಹಿರಿಮೆಯದು - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೪೮೬ ॥
tanaginta hirida, bhuvanakkinta hiridondanu । anubhavada hinde, sRuShTiya neraLa hinde ॥ Anumitisi manujan A hiridanu eLesuvanu eyde । manujana oLa hirimeyadu - Mankutimma ॥ 486 ॥
ತನಗಿಂತ ಹಿರಿದಾದದ್ದು ಈ ಭೂಮಿಗಿಂತ ಹಿರಿದಾದದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಇವೆಲ್ಲದರ ಅನುಭವಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಂದು ಹಿರಿದಾದ ಅನುಭವ ಈ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಜಗತ್ತು ಅಂತಹ ಹಿರಿದಾದ ಒಂದು ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ನೆರಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಎಂದು ಅರಿತ ಮಾನವನು ಆ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹಿರಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆರೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಈ ಮುಕ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
