ದೇವಾಂಶ ಪಶ್ವಂಶಗಳ ಗಂಟು ಮಾನುಷತೆ । ಧೀವಿಮರ್ಶೆಯಿನೊಂದ ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಬಲಿಸಿ ॥ ಭಾವಪರಿಶೋಧನೆಯಿನಿನ್ನೊಂದ ದಂಡಿಪುದೆ । ಜೀವಪ್ರಕರ್ಷಗತಿ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ ೨೦೪ ॥
dEva amsha pashu amshagaLa ganTu mAnuShate । dhI vimarsheyina onda satkarisi balisi ॥ bhAva parishOdhaneyina innonda danDipude । jIva prakarShagati - Mankutimma ॥ ೨೦೪ ॥
ದೇವತೆಗಳಿಗಿರುವ ಗುಣಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಪಶುಗಳಿಗಿರುವ ಗುಣಗಳ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯಗುಣ. ತನ್ನ ಬುದ್ಧಿಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಪಶುಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕರಗಿಸುತ್ತಾ ದೈವೀಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇ ಪ್ರಕರ್ಷ, ಎಂದರೆ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಎಂದು ಈ ಕಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪನವರು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
